COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Since David Downs relocated his law practice from South Texas to Durango, he felt it was essential to become an integral part of the Durango and Southwest Colorado community. David’s philosophy was to ensure that the success of his firm would be spread throughout the region. He graciously became a sponsor or charitable contributor to many local organizations ranging from Durango High School athletics to more national charitable groups like United Way. As the firm transitioned to its current partners, our philosophy has remained the same as we have continued to stay extremely active in supporting both local and national worthy causes. We currently are headline sponsors for the Durango Derailers which assists local families who are in need of a higher level of pediatric care and The Dave Spencer Ski Classic which benefits The Durango Adaptive Sports Foundation. Other organizations that have benefited from our financial and volunteer assistance on an annual basis include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado, Boys and Girls Club of La Plata County, United Way of Southwest Colorado, Durango High Noon Rotary, Mancos School District, The Rotary Foundation, ShelterBox, Riverview Elementary School, Your Life Speaks, Children’s Hospital Colorado, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Music in the Mountains, Knights of Columbus, Manna Soup Kitchen and the Durango Food Bank.
